Position Summary: The Accountant 2 role will play a key role in shaping the accounting culture across the North Hollywood site. This high-visibility position will serve as a crucial point of contact for other functions that rely on timely vendor payments, customer collections while overseeing the Accounts Payable and Receivables functions. This role will serve as a liaison between Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, and Accounting. JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES + SAP Specialist overseeing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), managing SAP financial modules, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. + Participates in monthly close process by generating various journal entries, preparing required reconciliations, and analytically reviewing specific general ledger accounts for accuracy and proper valuation. + Maintains strong internal controls within an established SOX environment, including performing regular internal audits, identifying inadequate, inefficient, or ineffective internal controls and recommending improvements + Maintains GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and goods receipts, including reconciliation, invoice review, and compliance with financial procedure + Performs additional responsibilities as assigned + Support standardization and completion of desktop procedures in compliance with SOX requirements JOB SPECIFICATIONS + Education: Bachelor’s degree is required, preferred in accounting/finance + Years Experience: Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through seven (7) or more years of increasingly responsible related experience including supervisory roles of two (2) or more years + Skills : + Knowledge and experience with ERP accounting system, SAP strongly preferred - AP/AR modules, GL, journal entries, unvouchered + Thorough knowledge and experience in financial accounting and SOX control processes + Knowledge of compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) + Strong attention to detail, prioritization skills + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Excellent internal and external customer service skills + Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task + Proficient computer skills, including proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers Competitive Compensation + Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
