The opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a full-time Accountant, Record to Report to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing journal entries, month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations, rent preparation, and reporting while acting as a primary liaison for unit accountants. If you are detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and enjoy collaborating with others to ensure accurate financial reporting, this role is a great fit for you! 

 

On July 10, 2025, Delaware North announced its US-based Travel Hospitality Services business will be sold to Areas, a global leader in travel dining and retail. The sale is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2025. Upon completion of the sale, all THS team members will become part of Areas at which point this role will become fully remote.

Pay

Minimum \u2013 Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $60,406 - $66,800 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?Perform monthly close procedures, including preparing standard journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and addressing discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting Investigate and resolve variances, reporting discrepancies, and other issues promptly while maintaining strong internal controls and documenting accounting processes and policies Oversee contract reviews and calculate associated rent, royalty payments, and packages; coordinate with third-party providers and ensure compliance with accounting systems and procedures Provide accounting support across the business, facilitate complex financial analysis and reporting, and assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits Collaborate on process improvements, mentor accountants, and support finance team projects, presentations, and initiatives as needed
