Primary Responsibilities:
The Accountant, Corporate Accounting will be responsible for a combination of corporate and operational accounting with a primary focus on accounting for Internally Developed Software (IDSW). This position will work closely with the Global Technology Finance team and will be responsible for the month-end close cycle for accounting and reporting activities for other IT related charges/activities such as cloud platform usage, telephony, wireless, security, and other IT cost allocations. The list of individual duties below is not all inclusive and may vary depending on the candidate’s and team’s skillsets and interests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Compile monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for areas listed aboveBe a team member on monthly close activities and ensure all deadlines are met Provide support and assistance to internal and external auditors as requested for areas of responsibilityAssist in maintaining the documentation of key internal controls, processes, and proceduresThorough understanding of IDSW process narrative and internal controls Facilitate the Company’s accounting for Internally Developed Software (IDSW) by reviewing projects for capitalization eligibility based on US GAAP and ensuring projects are placed into service when ready for useSupport in the monthly process of accounting for monthly cloud charges and capitalization of eligible cloud costs in accordance with applicable guidelines Support the coordination of outsourced accounting provider(s) to ensure accounting is accurate and timely for certain international subsidiariesEstablish strong working relationships with the Company’s technology team and external auditorsCreate ideas and solutions for process improvementsOther tasks or projects as directed by managementQualifications:
Proven track record of academic and professional excellenceBachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA certification is a plus)1 to 3 years of related professional experienceStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and WordExperience with Microsoft DAX and/or OneStream a plusKnowledge of IT concepts and terminology plusAbility to maintain a flexible schedule. As certain regions are international, conference calls and emails are sometimes expected to occur outside of normal US business hours (this expectation comes with flexibility during normal US business hours)Other Characteristics:
