What Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
Accounting establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, completes technical research, safeguards the organization's assets and ensures accuracy of accounting and financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
Qualifications
What is expected of you and others at this level
Strong understanding of AP processes, vendor management and accounting principles
Manage end-to- end accounts payable cycle, including preparation of vendor tracker, track payment and reconciliation
Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely disbursements and avoid late payments
Resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor queries promptly
Coordinate with procurement and internal departments to verify purchase orders and good receipts
Prepare month end accrual entries along with MIS workings (such as Payroll, Accruals; cost allocation, depreciation etc)
Excellent Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
Assist Team in timely closure of all audits, internal & external and support to secretarial team for filing compliance reports
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Ariba and MS Excel
Strong communication and interpersonal skill
Ensuring continued focus on process improvement, increased automation of activities and the elimination of non-value added activities
