Account Retention Sales Advisor

Role: Account Retention Sales Advisor 

Location: Peterborough 

Salary: £25,292 (34 hours per week, Monday to Friday, office hours)

As a result of sustained growth, we’re looking for an engaging and driven Account Retention Sales Advisor to join our Inside Sales team and help grow long-term relationships with our valued business customers. 

 

In the role you will focus on retaining and developing customer accounts, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and improve customer relationships. You’ll proactively manage communications across phone, email and digital channels, ensuring every interaction is professional, informative, and tailored to the customer’s needs. 

 

You’ll also play a key part in delivering sales campaigns, supporting proposal and pitch development, and accurately maintaining our CRM to capture sales activity. Whether managing inbound enquiries or making outbound calls, your goal is to provide outstanding service while hitting key revenue and performance targets. 

 

The Role 

 

You will proactively retain and grow existing accounts through tailored outreach 

Understand customer needs and match them with Royal Mail products and solutions 

Use CRM systems to manage contacts, opportunities, and reporting 

Maintain clear communication with internal teams to support customer delivery 

Comply with regulatory standards and uphold ethical sales practices 

 

Skills & Experience 

 

Strong verbal and written communication skills 

Persuasive and customer-focused with a positive attitude 

Comfortable using digital tools, CRM systems, and standard business software 

Empathy, adaptability, and a high level of self-motivation 

Some experience in sales, retail, or customer service is a plus, but not essential for the right person
