About the role
We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Commercial Manager to lead Kerry’s engagement across a defined segment of Dairy and Plant-Based Dairy Beverage customers, including emerging brands, medium-sized CPGs, and co-manufacturers. This role is responsible for delivering sustainable growth through deep customer understanding, strategic account planning, and innovation in enzyme applications and dairy processing.
Key responsibilities Customer Ownership & Growth Delivery Own the sales P&L for assigned customers and deliver results aligned with Kerry’s growth pillars. Lead commercial contracts, long-term supply agreements, and innovation partnerships to protect margin and unlock profitability. Build and maintain strong relationships across customer stakeholder functions and internal cross-functional teams. Strategic Account Management Develop and execute robust account plans and commercial strategies tailored to customer business models and functional needs. Drive a proactive pipeline of customer engagements to build a margin-appropriate project portfolio for year-over-year and long-term growth. Lead the development of customer-specific annual budgets and 5-year growth forecasts. Customer Experience & Satisfaction Implement a structured business review process to enhance customer experience and satisfaction. Maintain a strong external focus, leveraging insights into customer needs, market trends, and consumer preferences to guide Kerry’s investment priorities. Innovation & Technical Collaboration Align sales strategies with company objectives, emphasizing dairy innovation and enzyme applications. Understand and address client needs related to enzyme functionality, including coagulation, flavor development, and shelf-life extension. Stay current on dairy industry trends, regulatory changes, and enzyme innovations to inform customer solutions. Collaborate closely with R&D and technical teams to develop tailored enzyme solutions that meet specific customer requirements. Focus on core dairy processing needs such as fluid, frozen, and cultured products, as well as extended shelf-life and ultra-filtration technologies. Issue Resolution & Risk Management Recommend appropriate resources and actions to address customer-specific issues, including competitive threats, product/service complaints, and data discrepancies. Qualifications and skills Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Food Science, Chemistry, or related discipline. MBA is preferred. 5+ years progressively responsible, post baccalaureate experience in B2B sales with a focus on dairy and/or enzymes Experience in Ingredient, Flavors or Functional & Active sales channels, preferably with existing relationships within retail customers covering areas of dairy & plant based dairy beverage. Sales systems & operations knowledge: CRM, Customer Segmentation, Customer Lifecycles and Analytics. Working knowledge of the dairy complex & ingredients and the correlating price inputs as it relates to price risk management & margin management. Experience with building deep customer relationships and converting those relationships into increased sales, innovation, and top line growth. Demonstrated effective communication skills. Experience building strategic plans with demonstrated ability to formulate customer activation strategies and turn them into clear compelling, actionable plans and results that are informed by the external landscape and deliver year on year growth.
The typical hiring range for this role is $123,859.00 to $213,784.00 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
