POSITION PROFILE

Account Manager

The Account Manager (AM) plays a key role in solving critical business challenges and cultivating new and expanded customer relationships. This role focuses on understanding the customer’s environment and aligning Ricoh solutions with their mission-critical goals through strategic relationship-building with decision-makers and influencers.

Key Responsibilities Business Development: Identify and generate sales opportunities within new and existing accounts to increase Ricoh’s market share. Customer Insight: Understand the customer’s environment and buying behavior, focusing on their needs rather than predefined products or services. Solution Selling: Address known and uncovered business challenges through research and consultative questioning. Communication: Deliver compelling presentations both in person and virtually, articulating how Ricoh’s solutions impact the customer’s financial and operational goals. Storytelling: Differentiate Ricoh’s value by illustrating how our offerings accelerate digital transformation. Strategic Influence: Build relationships with decision-makers and influencers to uncover and align opportunities with Ricoh’s portfolio. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required 3+ years of business development experience Experience in IT and/or software services preferred Understanding of document workflow solutions and processes preferred Foundational knowledge of P&L components Strong research and analytical skills for customer engagement Proven ability to manage multiple accounts with attention to detail Skills & Abilities Strong collaboration and influence-building skills Solid understanding of solution design processes Thought leadership in customer engagement Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to build and maintain professional relationships Familiarity with Ricoh’s offerings Strategic thinking to expand core services across customer enterprises High learning agility Ability to navigate customer approval processes and build sponsorship Working Conditions Office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and noise levels Primarily sedentary work with occasional walking, standing, and light lifting (under 10 lbs.) Moderate dexterity required (e.g., keyboard use, hand tools) Approximately 20% travel required, which may include overnight stays
