The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss Power Solutions Hydrostatics Team is currently seeking an Account Manager to join its team. This key role will work to identify, develop and win business with its assigned key accounts and strive to meet forecast sales goals. The Account Manager will be leading the acquisition efforts in major strategic development programs, as well as, building and maintaining strong partnerships with our distributors. 

 

The Account Manager role reports to the Sr. Director Global OEM Sales and will need to be within driving distance of our Ames, IA or Plymouth, MN facility. Relocation support will not be provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Manage and develop Distributors and OEM business at specified accounts and according to the Best Customer Connect Philosophy. Develop and maintain distributor and customer relationships and acts as primary field sales representative for Danfoss, servicing specific accounts and/or a designed geographical area. Work to gain knowledge of customer’s structure, products and decision-making processes. Display a level of competence necessary to comprehend and discuss technical and commercial aspects of the products/solutions. Lead international coordination role for specified direct and distributor OEMs, if required by sales management. What We're Looking For

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Engineering or relevant years of industry experience Prefer a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Hydraulics or Electronic industry suitable sales experience, particularly technical sales and knowledge in the designated product and relevant industry sector Experience working with Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools Possess knowledge of mobile hydraulic systems is preferred  Proven ability to be self-motivated, possessing a high energy level and a desire to achieve goals beyond what is required Possess business acumen around sales forecasting opportunity management and customer planning Strong process discipline, ability to align planning objectives with a pipeline development process to grow and develop market revenue Ability to work in a cross culture, diverse nationalities in a matrix communications environment

 

In the United States, the base salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $115,000. In addition to base salary, we offer additional compensation including bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.  A candidate’s specific pay within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, training, location, experience, relevant education, certifications, and other business and organizational needs
