Account Manager
Company description We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join a leading company serving a regulated category, such as Tobacco or FMCG, in Tokyo. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborating closely with both clients and agency teams. The primary focus of this role is on Experiential Marketing, with an emphasis on brand experience activities and digital ad/content creation. Future opportunities include expanding into social always-on campaigns, POSM, event design/implementation, and comprehensive 360-degree campaign design from a strategic level. Overview · Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, managing and facilitating projects from the creative brief to idea development and production, with a strong emphasis on experiential marketing. · Collaborate with the agency's global team to ensure seamless integration and execution of experiential marketing strategies that adhere to industry regulations. · Oversee the development of evidence-based digital creative content, ensuring all content meets regulatory standards and enhances brand experiences. · Ensure the client, brand, and consumer needs are met throughout the creative development and publishing processes, focusing on creating impactful brand experiences. · Manage complex client briefs from ideation through to final production, maintaining strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and experiential marketing best practices. · Maintain and document accurate communication workflows among numerous stakeholders, ensuring all regulatory requirements and experiential goals are communicated and adhered to. Qualifications · University degree. · Native-level Japanese proficiency. · Business-level English proficiency is strongly preferred. · Minimum of 5-6 years of account management experience within a global or major Japanese agency, preferably in a regulated industry with a focus on experiential marketing. · Strong project management experience is essential, with a proven track record in navigating regulatory environments. · Proven ability to develop digital creative content based on evidence and insights, within regulatory constraints, and focused on enhancing brand experiences. · Exceptional communication skills, including accuracy, active listening, and the ability to manage complex communication workflows while ensuring regulatory compliance and experiential impact. · Open-minded attitude towards new concepts, communications, and platforms, with an understanding of regulatory boundaries and experiential marketing techniques. · Creative thinking and out-of-the-box ideas are necessary due to restricted marketing activities. · A positive, passionate attitude and a “Yes, we can!” spirit. · Demonstrated client service expertise, particularly in regulated industries. · Experience working in an agency environment delivering creative solutions to reach business goals and objectives. · Experience with new product launches and promotions, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional brand experiences.
