Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. Job Purpose We are expanding our International CNBC Advertising and Partnerships Sales Team to enable ambitious monetization plans for our expanded portfolio of products, and to cement existing, and build new lasting relationships with advertisers. The Account Manager will be a key member of the CNBC Ad Sales organization, and responsible for managing both full funnel pre-sale and post-sale materials for the Director and VP of Advertising and Partnerships EMEA. Role The Account Manager will perform key functions to drive the success of the international advertising and partnerships sales organization supporting the Account Director across international markets with a specific focus on the UK, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and Scandinavia as a core part of the team’s portfolio. The role will manage the pitching, planning, implementation, and analysis of multi-channel, multi geography TV, digital, social and events advertising campaigns. The Account Manager will work in close collaboration with partners and clients in international territories, and internal business partners, from the CNBC wider sales organization, including custom content, events, content data and insights teams, and, CNBC operations, legal, and finance departments. This is a pivotal sales organization role in the CNBC International EMEA team, selling with a high degree of proficiency in international multiplatform media solutions, using fine-tuned influencing skills, and creative flair to cultivate high value relationships with existing and new advertisers across CNBC’s international platforms. The Account Manager EMEA role will work as a direct report and partner to the Account Director EMEA as the team lead to devise and deliver successful campaigns for multiple advertisers, both with agency partners and advertiser direct. The successful candidate will hold responsibility for nurturing relationships with a diverse existing customer set; pitching, and converting solutions based proposals built to maximize the monetisation of CNBC products and audiences, and build deep and lasting performance driven partnerships, whilst also identifying new opportunities for business growth, generating new leads and campaigns of your own. Key Responsibilities + Partner with and support the Account Director EMEA, creative strategists, and data and insight partners to develop and sell multi-platform media solutions + Seek out and proactively generate leads and opportunities to sell CNBC advertising and partnership solutions + Prepare proposals and creative solutions to a market leading standard in a highly competitive international media marketplace + Prepare and deliver campaign performance reports in partnership with data and insight and operations teams to clients and agencies + Present reports internally and externally to management and clients and support internal stakeholder and customer needs and demands + Track and optimize campaign performance ensuring customer satisfaction and partnership success in partnership with support staff + Network and nurture relationships with current and future potential customers and represent CNBC in the marketplace with professionalism and expertise   + Negotiate and close ambitious international advertising agreements + Solutions sell, and campaign manage with agility and a performance mindset + Daily use of sales support systems and resources including Salesforce, Operative 1 and custom media planning and booking tools Experience + Muti channel media planning and buying knowledge ideally across multiple international markets + Experience working with custom, 1st party and 3rd party data to plan and deliver advertiser objectives + A passion for linking commercial success, consumer insight and media optimization to decision making and pitching + An understanding of multi-media channels and overall media landscape (Digital, TV, Social, Content, Experiences, Events) + Understanding of and capacity to build relationships with major media agencies and advertiser brands + Confidence in delivering and leading presentations at all levels, internally and externally + Strong strategic mindset with experience of strategic brainstorming, campaign development and understanding of business process and ability to synthesize data to create robust sales arguments + Proven ability to be adaptable in a quickly changing business and industry and self-starting approach + Demonstrable sales success and negotiation skills within an international organization Qualifications + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience + Language skills beneficial + Media industry experience Eligibility Requirements + Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through nbcunicareers.com to be considered + Must be willing to submit to a background investigation + Must have unrestricted Right to Work in the United Kingdom + Must be 18 years or older As part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with an NBCUniversal employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision.
