Account Manager
Job Title: Customer Relations and Procurement SpecialistJob Description This role is pivotal in fostering strong relationships with customers and suppliers, coordinating production and inventory schedules, and supporting sales efforts. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient order processing and managing new product approvals, while maintaining a high level of customer service and communication. Responsibilities + Serve as the first line of contact for customer inquiries, addressing questions related to orders, shipments, product availability, and pricing. + Build and maintain long-term, professional relationships with suppliers, focusing on communication and efficient order fulfillment. Visit customers to further develop relationships. + Collaborate with the sales team to forecast customer needs and set production schedules accordingly. Create customer picklists for warehouse shipments. Manage and reconcile inventory levels. + Coordinate the approval process for new parts, ensuring proper documentation is obtained and tracked throughout the approval process. + Assist sales representatives in identifying opportunities for new business and ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently. Essential Skills + Strong knowledge of purchasing and invoicing. + Proficiency with Sage50 or similar accounting software. + Excellent communication skills to manage inquiries and issues related to billing, pricing, and products. + Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and follow up on multiple tasks. + Expertise in Microsoft Excel for inventory management and forecasting. + Experience in managing inventory levels, understanding cost structures, and ensuring financial accuracy in supply chain processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and how financial and customer processes intersect with production schedules (preferred). + Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. + Ability to maintain long-term relationships with both customers and suppliers while ensuring the accuracy of financial processes. + A stable work history with the ability to multitask and manage various aspects of the role. Work Environment This position involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where multitasking and attention to detail are crucial. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software, with a focus on inventory management and forecasting.
