Account Manager
Johnson Service Group (JSG), a professional recruiting firm is currently seeking an Account Manager to sit onsite at our client's headquarters in Summerville, SC. Our client is an integrated global manufacturer, importer, and distributor with highly recognizable products constructed from plastic, fiberglass, aluminum, and steel, then distributed to the most recognizable big box marketplace in the United States.

Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for supporting business-to-business customer relationships, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and ensuring service excellence. This position manages daily account activity, oversees compliance with customer standards, and supports both internal and external stakeholders through clear communication and accurate reporting. The role includes supervisory and training responsibilities and requires a solid understanding of systems, products, and operational workflows. Success in this role demands strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions Include: Maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned customer accounts and ensure compliance with their KPIs and requirements. Oversee open orders and coordinate related sales activities. Monitor and assist in the resolution of outstanding accounts receivable (A/R) issues. Ensure customer information is accurately managed and updated in OPB’s internal systems. Respond promptly and professionally to all internal and external communications. Supervise and train any assigned account managers to ensure performance standards are met. Provide sales support, including preparing materials for trade shows, presentations, and inventory/sales reporting. Maintain consistent communication with overseas offices to coordinate sales activities. Travel occasionally to support customer or business needs.
Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of direct account management experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
