Account Manager, Software Builders

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our team, focusing on software builders organizations. In this role, you will be responsible for driving AWS adoption and growth within your assigned accounts, developing long-term relationships with key decision-makers, and helping software builders leverage AWS services to innovate and scale their businesses.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive AWS adoption and revenue growth
• Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and technical decision-makers within software builder organizations
• Understand customers' business challenges and articulate how AWS solutions can address their needs
• Collaborate with AWS solution architects and product teams to design and propose tailored cloud solutions
• Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
• Stay up-to-date with AWS services, industry trends, and competitive landscape
• Develop partners within the territory
A day in the life
Join a virtual team standup meeting to discuss current deals, share best practices, and align on team goals for the week.
Prepare for an important client meeting with a fast-growing SaaS startup. Review their current AWS usage, growth projections, and potential areas for expansion.
Video conference with the SaaS startup's CTO and engineering leads. Present a tailored solution leveraging AWS services to help them scale their application more efficiently. Address technical questions and concerns, bringing in an AWS solutions architect to provide deeper technical insights.
Follow up on action items from the meeting, including sending additional information on AWS serverless technologies and setting up a technical deep-dive session for next week.
Work on a proposal for another client, a mobile app development company looking to migrate their infrastructure to AWS. Collaborate with solution architects and pricing specialists to create a comprehensive and competitive offer.
Call with an existing customer to discuss their upcoming product launch and how AWS can support their expected traffic spike. Recommend AWS Auto Scaling and Amazon CloudFront to handle increased load.
Internal meeting with the AWS product team to provide feedback on a new service in beta, sharing insights from conversations with software builders.
Spend time updating the CRM system, logging customer interactions, updating pipeline forecasts, and planning activities for the coming weeks.
