Account Manager

As an Account Manager, you play a pivotal role in executing the company’s strategic plans for global growth in the Food & Feed Safety Markets. Your responsibilities encompass developing new business to meet sales growth objectives. The core focus of your role is to explore and capitalize on new sales opportunities within your assigned territory, providing tailored customer solutions. This necessitates close collaboration and partnership with key departments, including R&D, Product Management, Operations, and Sales, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach that aligns with overarching business goals.
This position supports our Romer Labs division, a global leader in innovative diagnostic solutions for food and feed safety. With a focus on mycotoxins, food allergens, GMOs, and microbial contaminants. Making the World's Food Safer® romerlabs.com
Your key responsibilities
Define and achieve annual sales targets through the development of a comprehensive business plan and sales strategy, focusing on both new and existing marketsEstablish and expand direct sales accounts across diverse industries such as food, processing, beverage, nutraceutical, agriculture, pet food, and laboratory marketplacesLeverage strengths and competencies to identify and develop new opportunities aligned with the company's value propositionSupport departments, contributing to the advancement of company goals and participating in the definition of future strategiesIdentify and articulate sales solution offerings and competitive advantages to effectively position in the marketDevelop, manage, and nurture strong working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Decision Makers, while staying informed about current and upcoming regulatory compliance requirements

You bring
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or a related field3+ years of sales experience in the Food or Feed Safety diagnostics industry, with a specific emphasis on microbiology, demonstrating expertise and industry knowledge, preferredProven track record of generating new business and exceeding sales targets, showcasing your ability to drive growth and achieve exceptional resultsExceptional relationship-building skills, enabling you to cultivate strong and enduring connections with clients, establishing yourself as a trusted partnerAbility to travel ~70% and possession of a valid driving license for conducting business-related travel within the assigned territory of WA, OR, ID, MT, WYResidency in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, or Wyoming required
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $80,000-90,000.
In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
