Account Executive - Political Sales

Role Overview:
 The Political Sales Account Executive (AE) will be responsible for driving political ad revenue across Nexstar’s broadcast, digital, and CTV platforms. This role requires strong relationship management skills, a deep understanding of the political advertising landscape, and the ability to execute data-driven sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with political agencies, campaign media buyers, PACs, and advocacy groups.Drive advertising sales across local, national, and digital platforms, ensuring optimal revenue growth.Work closely with the VP of Political Sales to align strategies and capitalize on key opportunities.Analyze political ad spending trends and identify high-value markets for ad placements.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and performance tracking.Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to enhance Nexstar’s position in political sales.Maintain a deep understanding of FCC regulations, compliance standards, and public file reporting.

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in political ad sales or a related media sales role.Strong understanding of political media buying cycles, fundraising patterns, and advocacy advertising.Ability to manage multiple accounts, negotiate high-stakes deals, and drive revenue in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage with high-level political buyers.

Salary Range:  $100,000 - $150,000 plus bonus
