Role: Regional Account Executive (Inside Sales)

Location: Cardiff (Hybrid, 3 days in office) 

Salary: £34,656 (plus performance incentives)

 

Following a period of growth and transformation, Royal Mail are looking for a driven and commercially focused Regional Account Executive to manage a diverse portfolio of approximately 150 business customers. This is a key inside sales role where you’ll take ownership of a multi-million revenue portfolio, driving growth, customer satisfaction, and contract renewals.

You'll work closely with internal teams and third-party partners to deliver tailored solutions, secure major deals, and help shape our customer strategy in parcels, letters, and international services.

 

Responsibilities

 

Manage and grow an assigned customer portfolio to meet revenue, retention, and renewal targetsExecute strategic account plans, increasing share of spend and enhancing customer satisfactionIdentify and convert new opportunities, deploying campaigns and tailored pricing solutionsRepresent the voice of the customer and collaborate across departments to ensure service excellenceDeliver accurate forecasts and maintain robust sales reporting in CRM systemsIntroduce new products and services, proactively responding to competitor activityEnsure all sales are accurately recorded to support reward and recognition outcomes

 

Skills & Experience

 

Experience in sales, ideally inside/desk-based sales, although any relevant experience will be consideredStrong business acumen and ability to act on emerging trendsSkilled in portfolio planning, relationship management, and solution sellingSelf-motivated with the ability to operate effectively with autonomyConfident negotiator with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal development
