Job Summary

As an Account Executive, you would have the responsibility to support a sustainable and profitable growth of IFF sales/share in the Fabric & Home Care categories by supporting key customer projects & initiatives, and leading smaller projects & clearances. Additional responsibility is to manage the fragrance portfolio and related initiatives globally. A key part of this role is to support the internal category team as well as the wider Global account team.

Excellent interpersonal skills will be valuable when interacting with Global team members, internal stakeholders and customer, while centering activities on customer focus, meeting deadlines and efficiency in day-to-day tasks. This position is a challenging role requiring a hands-on, independent self-starter who is experienced, has a strong drive for results, excellent organizational skills, strict adherence to deadlines as well as the ability to work in a high paced environment. These attributes will assist you in becoming a successful member of the diverse and dynamic team.

The account executive will work under direct supervision of a Global Category account manager / director

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

Support in building knowledge of specific market, customer environment and specific customer activities, strategies, brands, markets, consumers via all available sourcesDevelop a deep understanding of the customer’s business and growth objectivesCollaborate with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders across functions and geographies to achieve a common goalBuild meaningful relationships and networks across the organizationDrive personal development to gain the experience and competence required to independently manage accountsProactively solicit feedback to drive continuous development and personal growthUnderstand the assigned sales and profit margin targetsPrepare and coordinate presentation materials with support of line management and/or marketingActively contributes to winning projects

Required Skills and Experience:

Experience:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.

We are specifically looking for marketing background to increase the diversity in the team and to better support the growing Marketing demand on Knowledge Based Selling.

An average of 2 - 5 years of

Experience in the Fragrance Industry (preferably in Sales or Marketing)Sales or Marketing experience in other industries (preferably FMCG, Flavors, Chemical/Ingredients).

Skills:

Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel/database management & PowerPoint designFluent in Business English, written and verbalExcellent Project management skills, plan & set priorities effectively, take initiative & deal well with ambiguityFamiliar with marketing principles and (e-) toolsGood Presentation skillsAbility to deal with basic financial concepts/processes (Pricing/Margin/Forecasting) and work with IT systemsAffinity with fragrances with strong interests in product development, consumers and market understanding (Marketing/R&D/CI)Basic fragrance knowledge and olfactive skills
