Role Definition
+ Manages portfolio volume and profitability for covered industries or products.
Responsibilities
+ Advising customers on insurance and risk management, utilizing commercial insurance products to fit customer’s needs.
+ Initiating renewal process for existing clients, and developing renewal or new business specifications.
+ Preparing proposals and insurance summaries based on evaluation of client coverage needs.
+ Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurance carrier representatives and resolving customer inquiries.
+ Developing programs and products, implementing robust pricing, risk validation, enrollment and documentation processes.

+ **Risk Management:** Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
+ **Communicating Complex Concepts:** Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
+ **Customer/Market Focus:** Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.
+ **Commercial Insurance:** Knowledge of commercial insurance products, market segments and marketplaces; ability to enable a more effective application of the insurance organization's business.
+ **Knowledge of Insurance Operations:** Knowledge of the full spectrum of activities, practices, tools and considerations for insurance operations; ability to apply knowledge of insurance operations to provide administrative support to the insurance business.
+ **Property and Casualty Insurance:** Knowledge of concepts, features and benefits of property and casualty insurance; ability to utilize knowledge of property and casualty insurance in the insurance products development, marketing, sales and other related functions.
+ **Addressing Customer Needs:** Knowledge of the principles and practices for addressing customer needs; ability to meet customer needs by offering appropriate products in an appropriate manner.

_Must-Have Skills:_
+ **Insurance Background** : The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the insurance industry, specifically in commercial insurance and insurance products. This includes a deep understanding of the various types of commercial insurance policies, the regulatory environment, and the unique challenges and opportunities within the commercial insurance sector.
+ **Policy Forms Familiarity** : The candidate should possess strong knowledge of policy forms for commercial lines. This means they should be well-versed in the standard policy forms used in the industry, understand the legal and regulatory requirements for these forms, and be able to interpret and apply them effectively in various scenarios.
_Nice-to-Have Skills:_
+ **Captive Insurance Experience** : Experience working with captive insurance products or through a captive insurance provider is highly desirable. This includes understanding the structure and benefits of captive insurance, the process of setting up and managing a captive, and the specific regulatory and compliance issues related to captive insurance.
+ **Policy Form Creation** : The ability to create new policy forms for commercial lines is a valuable skill. This involves drafting and designing policy forms that meet the needs of new types of coverage, ensuring they comply with legal and regulatory standards, and working with underwriters and other stakeholders to develop innovative insurance solutions.
+ **Insurance Product Development** : A strong understanding of how insurance products are priced and developed is desirable . This includes knowledge of actuarial principles, risk assessment, market analysis, and the product development lifecycle. The candidate should be able to contribute to the creation of competitive and profitable insurance products that meet the needs of the market.
