Position Summary:
This is a sales position responsible for promoting the company’s products and services and building relationships with new and existing Cruise Line Customer accounts. The primary focus is to help Sysco customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals established by the company.
Responsibilities:
Develop and nurture relationships with key decision makers across procurement, culinary and executive teamsCollaborate closely with internal operations and merchandising teams to ensure complete order fulfillment.Have an overview knowledge on export and foreign trade zone regulations pertaining to the cruise linesEvaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on business needs and goalsBe informed of market conditions, product innovations, competitor products, prices, and salesShare information and knowledge with customers as part of a value-added serviceAnswer customer’s questions about products, prices, availability, and product usesProvide product information and practical training to customer personnelManage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation departmentTroubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (i.e.: out of stocks, special order, low inventory)Attends and participates in general sales meetingsReview and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin dataUtilize Sysco business tools such as online sale tracking and communicationsPerform administrative duties, such as maintaining sales records, processing credits and pick up request, prepare sales quotes and menu suggestions and filing reportsUnderstand Customer contracts and track compliance mutuallyTrack expiring contractsCommunicate effectively with other Sysco Operating Companies & Specialty Companies servicing Customers to maximize Customer experienceOther duties as may be assignedQUALIFICATIONS
Experience
1 to 5 years of business to business sales experience or food service management experiencePreferred 3+ years prior foodservice sales, B2B experience, restaurant management or culinary backgroundEducation
High School diploma or equivalentBachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality or Culinary Acts preferredProfessional Skills
