One World Observatory

Positioned at the top of One World Trade Center—the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere—on levels 100, 101, and 102, One World Observatory provides guests with unique, panoramic views of New York City, its most iconic sites, and surrounding waters from 1,250 feet. THE ROLE

The Account Executive, Group Sales is primarily responsible for sourcing and selling ticket packages to designated group sales clients within the public and/or tourism space on a year-round basis. This position will prospect through a highly proactive approach including outbound calls and face-to-face appointments. This includes upselling new and existing products to improve the client experience and cultivating referrals and leads. This individual will also assist the group sales team on a day-to-day basis by supporting ongoing communications with our Guest Services team and fulfilling invoices and ticket requests as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieve monthly & yearly ticket and revenue targets set forth by management  Provide superior service to current clients, partners, and prospects, including managing the booking process from lead generation to reservation, invoicing, payment and ticket fulfillment  Retain and grow business through consistent communication by phone, face-to-face/virtual meetings, and e-mail   Develop client relationships to ensure long-term business   Generate new sales leads through self-prospecting, current client networks, and other company provided resources  Respond in a timely manner to calls, inquiries and emails   Maintain detailed and comprehensive records via venue’s designated CRM  Perform variety of responsibilities during group visits, other group events, etc. in order to support client needs or to promote venue’s products and services  Attend some networking events and possibly trade-shows or sales missions with management support  Ability to execute off-site job responsibilities or travel 10% or as needed/requested by management  Work non-traditional hours (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary)

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Bachelor’s Degree  Proficient in Microsoft Office  One (1) to two (2) years of professional work experience. Experience in attractions, sports, or entertainment with a group sales background is a plus.  Committed to success with a desire to excel within a team environment  Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to change while continuing to be productive and positive team member  Strong communication and interpersonal skills — diplomatic, tactful, customer-focused with a professional phone manner and ability to interact with a variety of clients   Coachable and hardworking and willingness to work in a fast-paced and fun environment  Desire to grow a fruitful career in attractions, sports and entertainment   Experience with sales CRM is a plus  Bilingual a plus  Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training COMPENSATION

$26.44/hour + commission and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan
