Account Executive, Commercial Lines

Primary Role:

The Commercial Lines Account Executive is expected to contribute to the growth and retention of the commercial lines department by supporting both the sales and service efforts.  The Account Executive will have extensive contact with the client as an extension of the producer. Responsible for acting as quarterback for the team and strategic driver for renewals and critical path.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops relationships beyond the Producers relationship with the key decision makersLead client contact person for marketing/quoting strategy (new/renewal business)Information gathering – for MarketingStrategic Planning with Producer based on dynamics of the accountResponsible for Client Service Plan deliverablesAdds layer of technical knowledge to help win new business and retain key accounts. Able to provide a high level of scope and consultative qualities to clients and knows when to leverage HUB Specialty Practices and resourcesSchedules and leads client meetingsRounds accountsCommunication coordinator: responsible for client awarenessKeep team apprised of any issues or potential issuesStewardship Reporting; if applicableMakes sure client is aware of resources that HUB offers (minimum annually)Must follow HUB Broker Standards

Qualification Requirements:

Experience and Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred.At least 5-10  years of related experience working as an Account Manager in the commercial lines brokerage arena (equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable).Large Commercial Account Experience requiredP&C License required or able to obtain within 120 days from hireAdvanced professional designation preferred (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC,  CPCU)

Communication/Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively customers and teammates.Bilingual in English and Spanish a big plus.

Math Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point; follow guidelines on working in BMS (EPIC) for premium efficiency with your team.

Department Account Management & Service
