What We’re Looking For

The Account Executive focuses on building strong client relationships while proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You’ll be building tailored insurance solutions for businesses of all sizes.

This role will be based out of our Burnaby Still Creek head office location. It is centrally located and easily accessible by Gilmore SkyTrain station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Responsibilities

Recognize and actively pursue new business opportunitiesConduct market research on prospectsRemain current on business issues pertaining to prospectsNetworkFollow up on leadsGenerate new business revenue by selling insurance coverage to clientsManage pipeline of candidates through the use of CORE systemMaintain existing book of businessProvide highest standard of client serviceBe flexible to the needs of each clientBe up-to-date on all current coverage availableBe proactive in foreseeing and meeting the needs of each clientAttend client meetings in Coastal trading areaAttend and actively participate in industry and company events/meetingsContinue professional development in order to enhance skills and abilitiesOther duties and responsibilities as required

Skills, Characteristics & Qualifications

5+ years of Commercial Insurance experienceProven experience in sales process and account managementLevel 2 General Insurance LicenseRecognized industry certification preferred (CAIB, CIP, CRM, BCIT Risk Management, etc.)
