Account Director - Corporate

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Account Director based in Perth to manage and grow a portfolio of large corporate clients. This role is ideal for a senior insurance broker or risk manager with a proven track record of delivering outstanding client outcomes, who is ready to take the next step in leadership—whether as a team leader or as a senior client relationship driver ready to step into leadership responsibilities when needed.

You will be the primary producer and trusted advisor for your portfolio, supported by an Account Executive, and responsible for identifying client needs, driving risk management and insurance strategies, and capitalising on new business opportunities to grow your portfolio and contribute to the wider team’s success.

The Role

Lead a team, manage their performance, and oversee their client service and sales activities. Take accountability for achieving the team’s annual P&L budget. Proactively meet the annual new business target. Participate in selected new business exercises and major projects. Generate and contribute to new business opportunities to support the team's continued growth. Implement and review client service delivery (the WTW service methodology, “Engagement 365”), including holistic discussions on Risk and Retention strategies, as well as multi-tier client contact for all qualifying accounts. Obtain formal client feedback annually for all qualifying accounts. Leverage best practices from across WTW to deploy within the team. Represent the voice of the client both internally and within the teams when decisions are made regarding process, approach, and future strategy Ensure that every client has an agreed service plan and that client advocates implement every aspect of the plan. Maintain and develop a strong relationship with insurers. Identify development needs and build clear goals to support colleagues’ learning and career progression. Apply WTW Client Service protocols and compliance procedures.

The Requirements

Tier 1 insurance qualifications are essential.Preferably degree qualified.Extensive insurance broking experience and/or prior experience as an insurance or risk manager within a company.Proven track record working with large corporate clients in a senior, client-facing role.Strong technical skills in coverage and wording review, with excellent knowledge of claims management processes.Experience managing complex, multinational placements and servicing large accounts.Regulatory licenses and permissions fully attained in accordance with local legislation.
