Edelman Brussels is seeking an Account Director to lead integrated corporate and policy communications across the EU landscape. This is a strategic role for a trusted advisor who thrives at the intersection of business, media, and policy — and is ready to shape conversations that matter.
As part of Edelman’s Corporate & Policy Communications team, you’ll collaborate across borders and disciplines, working with leading multinationals, trade associations, and institutions on some of today’s most complex and consequential challenges. You’ll play a key role in mentoring teams, growing client relationships, and driving high-impact campaigns across reputation, regulation, and stakeholder engagement.What you’ll do:Lead strategic accounts and integrated communications programmes across corporate reputation, EU policy, and media relationsServe as a senior client partner, providing proactive counsel on risks, opportunities, and positioningOversee multi-market teams (Brussels, London, and beyond) to deliver consistent, high-quality resultsDevelop and drive new business efforts, from pitches to relationship expansionInspire and support team development through coaching and collaborationEnsure excellence in programme delivery, innovation, and client serviceWho you are:A senior communications professional with 7–10+ years of experience in agency, consultancy, or in-house settingsA strong understanding of EU institutions, policy dynamics, and media landscapeProven experience in leading high-profile, integrated communications programmesA natural relationship builder and strategic thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishA team leader who thrives in a fast-paced, international, and collaborative environmentProficiency in French or Dutch is a strong assetComfortable using digital tools, monitoring platforms, and evolving communication channelsWhy Edelman?
