Job Description
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accessioner to join our team. This role involves following laboratory procedures and policies while assisting with various administrative functions. You will be responsible for maintaining clinical records, organizing document management systems, and ensuring the availability of laboratory supplies. Additionally, you will assist in quality control and improvement activities and complete all mandatory training.
ResponsibilitiesFollow all laboratory procedures and policies.Assist with maintaining clinical records and logs.Maintain an organized document management system for easy access and retrieval of records and forms.Ensure the availability of clinical laboratory supplies.Identify and consult with a Supervisor regarding administrative problems that may affect test reports.Perform and document corrective actions as assigned.Assist in quality control and improvement activities.Complete and document all mandatory training, including annual safety training.Work 60% of the time in the lab environment, handling documentation related to samples.Essential SkillsProficiency in data entry and accessioning.Experience with Excel and sample processing.Ability to keep up with a high workload and fast-paced environment.Attention to detail is critical due to the volume and amount of data.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in similar roles is required.A degree is not required but would be helpful.Candidates must be a U.S. passport holder or permanent resident.Basic skills in Excel and Word are necessary.Work Environment
This position requires working in a lab environment 60% of the time, handling documentation related to bodily fluid samples, including nasal swabs. The remaining 40% of the time will be spent at a desk. The office environment is relaxed, with a business casual dress code, including jeans. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
