The PositionWho We Are
At Roche, we are passionate about transforming patients’ lives. We are brave in both decision and action and believe that good business means a better world. That is why we come to work each day. We commit ourselves to scientific rigor, unassailable ethics, and access to medical innovations for all. We do this today to build a better tomorrow.
The Global Access (GA) organization is a key part of this mission. We are seeking a dedicated Access Evidence Lead to join our RWD/Post-Launch pod, a specialized team focused on ensuring our medicines remain accessible to patients throughout their entire lifecycle.
The Opportunity This is a unique opportunity to shape and defend the value of our in-market medicines through evidence. As an individual contributor in our RWD/Post-Launch pod, you will have a dual-responsibility role.
First, you will be our strategic expert in Real-World Evidence (RWE). You will proactively identify evidence gaps that HTA bodies and payers have post-launch and design innovative RWE studies to address them. You will work in a highly collaborative, global environment to ensure these insights support the ongoing value of our products.
Second, you will be responsible for the lifecycle management of our core HTA deliverables for mature products. Approximately 2-3 years after launch, you will take ownership of materials like cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, and indirect treatment comparisons. Your expertise will be crucial in adapting these tools to support countries that are launching later or are facing re-negotiations and re-assessments, ensuring continued patient access.
Your Key Responsibilities
RWE Strategy & Execution: Identify critical launch and post-launch evidence gaps and design robust RWE studies to fill them. You will collaborate closely with global and affiliate colleagues on study design, execution, and dissemination of results.
HTA Deliverable Management: Take ownership of and update global cost-effectiveness models, budget impact models, and systematic literature reviews for our established medicines.
Affiliate Partnership: Act as the primary technical partner for affiliates in later-launching countries or those facing access re-negotiations. You will provide hands-on support to update HTA deliverables to meet their specific needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with colleagues across Global Access, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Global RWD and local country organizations to deliver integrated evidence solutions.
Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on the application of RWE for market access and the update of HTA models for lifecycle management.
Who You Are
You are a proactive, solution-oriented professional with a passion for demonstrating product value through evidence.
You hold a Masters or Doctoral level degree (MSc, PhD, PharmD) in a quantitative discipline such as Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, or Public Health.
You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, a health technology assessment agency, or a consultancy.
Your experience includes hands-on work in all of the following areas:
Designing and implementing RWE studies for market access.
Developing or adapting health economic models (cost-effectiveness, budget impact) and conducting systematic literature reviews (SLRs) and ITCs.
HTA submission and responding to questions from HTA-bodies
You possess strong analytical skills and are proficient with relevant software (e.g., R for statistical analysis; MS Excel w/ VBA for economic modeling).
You are an excellent communicator and collaborator, capable of working effectively in a global, matrixed organization.
You have a deep understanding of international HTA systems and payer evidence requirements.
