Job Responsibilities: + Register patients in the EPIC system promptly and accurately upon arrival to the Emergency Department + Obtain all required patient signatures in compliance with state and federal regulations + Interview patients to verify and update demographic information, including address, phone number, and emergency contacts + Confirm insurance coverage and eligibility, and update details in the system as necessary + Collect co-pays and other point-of-service payments when applicable + Scan and upload necessary documents into the EPIC electronic medical record system + Review and maintain the registration work queue regularly to ensure timely and accurate processing + Provide professional, compassionate service to patients and families in a high-stress, fast-paced environment + Communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical team members to support seamless patient flow + Follow organizational protocols to ensure data privacy, compliance, and patient safety Position Qualifications: Minimum Required: + High School Diploma or equivalent, with two (2) years experience in similar field Preferred: + Associate’s Degree, or 5 years equivalent experience in lieu of degree + Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) ----- Why You’ll Love Working at UHS At United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
