Responsibilities
Provides mentorship and assistance in the academic appointment and promotion process to Mayo Clinic Staff and to non-Mayo physicians who are seeking adjunct academic appointment. Creates and maintains the professional Mayo Clinic curriculum vitae. Performs tasks independently in a professional and consistent manner. Interacts with staff at all levels enterprise-wide and with professionals outside the organization. is self-motivated and able to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers. Uses complex decision making to process extremely detailed work accurately. Applies an understanding of Mayo Clinic's reporting structure and Mayo Clinic terminology as needed.
This position is a combination of remote and on-site work; individual must live within driving distance to the Mayo Clinic Rochester campus.

Qualifications
Two years technical school or medical secretarial training with 2-3 years of secretarial experience. Must have extensive computer experience.
Must be able to type 60 wpm with high accuracy, have excellent writing/communication skills and be able to accurately transcribe from dictation. Able to work independently with little or no supervisory guidance.
Must be proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe applications. Proficiency with EndNote, manuscript preparations, and medical terminology is preferred. Ability to manage expectations of the customer and communicate effectively with all customers. Requires excellent decision-making and judgment capabilities and the ability to work independently.
The individual should be flexible and detail-oriented and should excel both independently and as part of a team. The individual should be resourceful, effectively using available resources without needing constant guidance.
