Provide comprehensive eye exams, emergency follow up care, glaucoma co-management, vision rehabilitation services, and same day service care. Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses as needed.

Scope of Practice

Perform comprehensive eye exams and contact lens evaluationsDiagnose and manage a full spectrum of ocular diseases and conditionsPrescribe corrective lenses and therapeutic treatmentsProvide urgent and emergency eye care when neededExercise autonomy in clinical decision makingCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the systemEnsure continuity of care for patients throughout the system

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited programLicensed (or license-eligible) to practice in MassachusettsBoard certified or board eligible in optometry
