Academic Coach - Student Accessibility Focus - Graduate Assistantships

Job Description:

Berklee is seeking a passionate and student-centered Academic Coach to join the Accessibility Resources for Students office. This role is perfect for someone who believes in the transformative power of the arts and wants to support students with disabilities in reaching their full academic potential.

At Berklee, creativity is at the heart of everything we do. As the world’s leading college for contemporary music, performing arts, and technology, we are deeply committed to fostering an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative community. In this role, you’ll work directly with students to support their academic success while being part of a culture that values equity, experimentation, and meaningful work.

What You'll Do:

Provide one-on-one academic coaching that empowers students with disabilities to build executive functioning skills—like time management, organization, and self-advocacy.

Support students in navigating Berklee’s systems, including Accessibility Resources processes and assistive technologies.

Track and support a caseload of students through scheduled sessions, email communication, and proactive check-ins.

Maintain accurate, confidential coaching records in the Accessibility Information Management (AIM) system.

Collaborate with campus partners (Student Success Advising, Student Wellness, and others) to ensure a holistic student support network.

Develop programming for incoming students with disabilities to help them confidently transition into Berklee’s curriculum.

Lead coaching groups (some evenings required) and mid-day drop-in sessions.

Actively engage with Berklee’s broader academic coaching initiatives to promote best practices and consistency.

What You'll Bring:

Required: Bachelor’s + relevant experience (disability services, coaching, tutoring, etc.).

Preferred: Enrollment in or recent completion of a master’s program in higher education, counseling, or a related field.

Strong communication skills and genuine enthusiasm for helping students thrive.

A collaborative mindset and sensitivity to the experiences of students with disabilities in higher education.

Flexibility to work some nights and weekends.

Why Berklee?

This role offers more than just a job—it offers a chance to directly impact the success and well-being of a vibrant, international student body. Berklee provides a work environment that values work-life balance, creative energy, and a mission-driven culture. From day one, you’ll be supported by a passionate team and a college community dedicated to innovation, inclusion, and student growth.

Hourly Rate: $20.00/hour
Hours: Up to 20 per week (Part-Time)

Join Berklee and help shape the next generation of creators, thinkers, and leaders—starting with the students who need you most.
