A resume must be submitted with application to be eligible for consideration.Summary:This position is responsible for directing and training supervisors in all facets including but not limited to:Production paperworkYieldsTime and attendanceDisciplineMotivationTurnoverAbsenteeismSafetyProblem-solvingYou will be accountable for performance in areas such as safety, quality, workers' compensation, turnover, bid movement, Team Member morale, and other duties as needed.Key Responsibilities:Direct and Train Supervisors: Ensure supervisors are well-versed in all aspects of their roles.Performance Accountability: Oversee safety, quality, and workers' compensation.Team Morale: Foster a positive work environment and address turnover and absenteeism.Problem Solving: Tackle issues as they arise to maintain smooth operations.Special Projects: Take on and motivate the team for special projects.Requirements:EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.Experience• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience required; 5+ years preferred.• Two years of employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred.
• Familiarity with processing floor operations and fresh meats processing is a plus; 5+ years of experience in fresh meats processing strongly preferred.
• HACCP certification and understanding of basic HACCP principles, including CCP monitoring verification, are a plus.Physical RequirementsMust be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections.Ability to use fixed ladders, stairs, steps, etc.Able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility; the temperature in most areas ranges from 28 - 45 degrees.Computer SkillsBasic computer skills.Communication SkillsGood written and verbal communication skills.Able to communicate with all levels of management.Special SkillsTeam leaderProblem-solvingMotivation to take on special projects.SupervisoryResponsible for all Production Operations at the facility.Managing all production supervisors.Overseeing department production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification schedules, and safety committee.Reviewing team members and developing improvement plans for deficient areas.TravelSome travel required as needed.Priority consideration will be given to applicants at this facility, as well as priority for internal candidates impacted due to plant closure or job elimination.
