Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with a focus in Accounts Payable to join our team. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment while advancing your accounting career. The role will focus on essential accounting functions, including accounts receivable, and account reconciliations and analysis. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices accurately, ensure proper coding, and manage timely payments. • Maintain updated records for vendors and address inquiries as needed. • Generate and distribute customer invoices, apply incoming payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. • Prepare monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly. • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Support the preparation and posting of journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Help facilitate audits and contribute to special projects as assigned. • Collaborate with the team to maintain organized financial documentation and records. • Provide assistance in managing accruals and other accounting tasks related to accounts payable Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is advantageous. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal. • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
