Job Title: A&P Mechanic - Turboprop Business Aircraft
Job Summary:
JSG is hiring for multiple A&P Mechanic positions to work at our client’s facility in Pompano Beach, FL. These are contract-to-hire positions. A&P Mechanic’s will perform aircraft maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft, engines, and components on turboprob business aircraft at the Part 145 Service Center. Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate Required.
Key Responsibilities: Able to use FAA-approved data, i.e., IPC, AMM, OHM, CMM, etc., proficiently. Performs airframe, powerplant, and propeller repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements Removal and disassembly of defective parts; assembly and installation of replacement parts; and testing aircraft systems Performs routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems, using approved or accepted data issued by the manufacturer or FAA Operates all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment Completes all required maintenance records as stated in Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals Accurately records time worked on aircraft work order Interprets technical manuals, drawings and blueprints Demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude without compromising quality Presents a clean and neat work area to customers – facility cleanliness and general housekeeping Performs other aircraft maintenance work as required Tows and parks aircraft Performs other duties as assigned Basic shop upkeep (Sweeping, mopping, cleaning, etc.). Lifting/moving items 50lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods. Must be able to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights. Must be able to work with one or both hands extended overhead. The ability to travel as needed.
Qualifications: Must have a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Minimum 3 years’ experience REQUIRED, 5+ years preferred Experience with TBM, SOCATA or similar turboprop business aircraft preferred. Must be capable of performing both powerplant & sheet metal maintenance Quality and/or Structural experience a plus. Must have own tools. Basic computer skills are required. Ability to read, write, and understand the English language Must be eligible to work legally in the US. Valid US Driver’s License. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen & background check.
