Our customers come from a variety of industries including semiconductor packaging, component manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and traditional non-destructive testing industries. **Brief Description** Sonix is seeking an experienced engineer in the specification, design, development, and validation of components and firmware for A/D and control boards for complex inspection systems. **Primary Duties:** + Assist with component selection, board design, and firmware design reviews + Troubleshoot issues on boards and assist with replacing components as needed + Assist with the definition, design, development, modeling, testing, and validation efforts for product development (hardware and firmware). + Work with cross-functional departments in the efforts of product concept through production. + Open Innovation with Key Suppliers to drive technology development. + Responsibility for project Tollgate forms, Test Plans and reports, and Bills of Materials. + Participate in Failure Analysis, Root Cause, and Problem-Solving Processes as required. **Education and Experience Required:** + Masters of Science or Engineering in an electro-physics field. + 2+ years of post-degree experience selecting and evaluating semiconductor components for board applications + 2+ years of post-degree experience designing, evaluating, troubleshooting and modifying populated PCBs + 2+ years of post-degree experience designing, installing, evaluating, troubleshooting, and modifying firmware **Special Skills/Certification Required:** + Ability to read and evaluate schematics, drawings, and 2D/3D models. + Ability to read and evaluate firmware for design and implementation + Ability to identify component specifications, locate alternates, and evaluate their impact + Ability to perform simple modifications to components on assembled PCBs + Ability to work with global customers / resources. + Experience with engineering tools such as Design of Experiments (DoE), Accelerated Product Development (APD), Failure Analysis, Root Cause, Design For Reliability (DFR), Problem Solving Process (PSP), and product capability analysis + Disciplined Project Management experience desirable. + Open Innovation experience desirable. + Ultrasonic inspection experience desirable \#LI-RB **Ralliant Corporation Overview** Ralliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
