The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician’s orders.
Minimum Requirements:
Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract. Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age General Comments Position Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Summer School Program Location: Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, Rochester, NY Program Dates: July 9 – August 20, 2025 Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM Number of Openings: Up to 5 positions
Job Summary: Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES is seeking dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologists to provide in-person speech and language services during our 6-week summer school program. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with exceptional needs in a collaborative and supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs. Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation. Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers. Participate in team meetings and contribute to student progress planning. Qualifications:
Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathology license. NYS Teaching Certification in Speech and Language Disabilities (or equivalent). Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are welcome Strong communication and organizational skills. Commitment to in-person service delivery.
