Quanex is looking for a 5S/Continuous Improvement (CI) Assistant to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

As the 5S/Continuous Improvement Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a workplace that is efficient, allowing work to be performed more effectively with less risk of downtime. Utilizing your investigative skills and thinking outside of the box will help you be successful in this role.

Salary: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour, pay based on experience

Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm, one day per week will be a later start time to support our night shift.

What Success Looks Like:

Work closely with team leaders and supervisors to assess, evaluate, and identify improvement opportunities. Assist operations in the development and maintenance of x-hour charts and all CI metrics and documents. Recognize and eliminate waste in production areas and take an active role in a CI culture. Strong desire and affinity toward learning new things.

What You Bring:

High school diploma or equivalent, required. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodology, preferred. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated, ability to work independently and stay on task. Detail oriented with strong investigative skills. Strong mathematics skills, preferred.
