Salary: $45 / Hour Must have NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education (K-12) or Students with Disabilities Grades 1-6 $45/hr - Start Date: 8/28. Ithaca NY Hours: 9am-3:30/3:40pm Requirements: -The Ithaca City School District is committed to eliminating race, class, and disability as predictors of academic performance, co-curricular participation, and discipline. Qualified candidates will demonstrate a basic awareness of these commitments and a strong willingness to support these efforts. -All candidates must possess New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education (K-12) preferred or Students with Disabilities (1-6) or qualify to obtain it by the first date of employment. Licensed teachers from other states may qualify for reciprocity. Description: Provide Special Education services to Elementary Students, K-5th grade, with a range of disabilities in an inclusive setting. Candidates must have a strong commitment to creating inclusive learning environments and engage in co-teaching models. Additional duties include, but are not limited to IEP development, communicating with families, and collaboration with teams.
