Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead our team of mechanics and apprentices Monday to Friday, on a bi-weekly rotation (days and afternoons). This hands-on leadership role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance practices across our fleet.
What you're responsible for:
Supervise and mentor a team of licensed 421A mechanics, apprentices, and experienced techniciansOversee daily repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities for a wide range of heavy equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems with efficiency and accuracyConduct inspections and implement preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtimeSupport task scheduling, work prioritization, and planning in collaboration with the Maintenance Team and Operations TeamLead Monthly Shop Supervisor Safety Inspections and promote a culture of safety-firstUtilize CMMS (Maximo) for work order management, reporting, and maintenance trackingOrganize and maintain the shop environment, including tools, inventory, and partsProvide clear direction and delegate tasks effectively to maximize team productivityQualifications

You have a valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification (an asset)You have proven supervisory experience in heavy equipment maintenanceYou have strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systemsYou have the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagramsYou take a proactive problem-solving approach with a focus on continuous improvementYou are physically fit and comfortable working in demanding, outdoor industrial environmentsYou have previous experience with CMMS systems (an asset)
