Position Summary

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a 3rd Party Logistics Manager in the Madrid area and be a key player in our mission to deliver world-class customer service! As the primary liaison for our Microbiology Division (MBD) at our 3rd party Distribution Center, you will ensure excellent communication and operational efficiency between MBD and DHL. Your focus will be on maintaining stock availability and accuracy to deliver outstanding customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate regularly with the Customer Service function across Spain and other regions.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.Actively participate in daily tier meetings to address potential issues.Report daily on critical metrics including timely dispatch, stock accuracy, inbound dock to stock time, spoilage, and scrap execution.Serve as the main contact point for urgent order queries.Collaborate with planning and purchasing teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels.Develop and implement a cycle counting process aligned with policy, ensuring regular reporting.Daily checking of IDOCs to swiftly resolve issues and support stock integrity.Compile and distribute regular reports on operational and financial performance.Manage Quality Notifications (QNs) and CAS feedback for orders fulfilled by the 3PL.Monitor volume trending and report back to the business.Lead the scrap process, ensuring timely authorizations, transacting, and reporting.Build alliances across all functions to support business goals and commitments.Perform job duties in a safe manner consistent with the Code of Ethics and the 4-I Values.Perform other duties and cross-training as assigned.Provide DHL with a rolling 3-month volume forecast to ensure adequate resources.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of warehouse leadership experience or equivalent, educated to degree level with 5 years of relevant management experience.Solid understanding of manufacturing operational environments and customer demands.Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English, with confidence in engaging with customers both internally and externally.Proficiency in SAP and order management processes.Demonstrated leadership skills with a continuous process improvement approach.Committed to the Thermo Fisher Scientific 4-I core values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP is an advantage.Ability to work full-time from the Ciempzuelos, Madrid site.
