Hogarth is looking for a 3D Animator 
What does an Animator 3D do at Hogarth?

A 3D Animator at Hogarth is a creative artist responsible for bringing characters, objects, and environments to life through compelling 3D animation. This role involves creating a wide range of animated content for various media, with a strong emphasis on character animation and storytelling. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of animation principles, a proficiency in industry-standard 3D software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team to deliver high-quality content that meets client objectives. A key aspect of this role will be the ability to create high-fidelity characters using MetaHuman within Unreal Engine.

Duties:

Create high-quality 3D animations for a variety of projects, from concept to completion. Create, customize, and animate high-fidelity MetaHumans within Unreal Engine. Integrate MetaHumans into Unreal Engine projects. Collaborate with other animators, designers, and team members to ensure a cohesive and consistent style. Develop storyboards and animatics to visualize animation sequences. Rig and animate characters and objects in 3D software. Implement feedback and revisions effectively. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and software advancements. Manage time effectively and meet project deadlines. Create traditional 2D animation, including character animation, special effects, and motion graphics (if applicable to the project).

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Animation, Computer Animation, or related field is strongly preferred. Candidates with degrees in related fields such as Motion Design, Film/Video Production, or equivalent experience combined with a compelling portfolio showcasing strong 3D animation skills will also be considered. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in 3D animation. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Strong understanding of different video (mp4, mov, html5, etc.) and 3d formats (obj, fbx, gltf). Software Proficiency: 3D Animation Software (Proficiency in at least one required):Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D, Blender, 3ds Max. Game Engine (Required):Unreal Engine 4/5 Character Creation/Customization (Required):MetaHuman Creator Texturing Software (Preferred):Substance Painter, Mari, Mudbox Compositing Software (Preferred):Adobe After Effects, Nuke Other (Beneficial):MotionBuilder, ZBrush Expert-level proficiency in Unreal Engine 4/5: Deep understanding of Unreal Engine's rendering pipeline, materials, lighting, and animation systems. Experience with Blueprints for creating interactive experiences and gameplay mechanics. Knowledge of optimization techniques for real-time performance. Extensive experience with MetaHuman Creator and MetaHuman Plugin: Proficiency in creating, customizing, and animating high-fidelity MetaHumans. Understanding of MetaHuman's facial rigging system and animation tools. Experience with integrating MetaHumans into Unreal Engine projects. Solid understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, weight, and acting. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to take direction and adapt to different styles. Advanced English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required for effective collaboration with international teams and clients.
