Job Details:

This position is responsible for leading the shipping team to efficiently operate and adhere to procedures, maintain a safe work environment, ensure inventory accuracy and timely storage of product, and achieve distribution / shipping KPIs. This position will also monitor all equipment to ensure it is working properly, notify the supervisor or manager of any needed maintenance, communicate with team members, and serve as a role model for Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in the fulfillment of freight orders per deadline timelines.

· Coordinate with Planners for alternative fulfillment solutions.

· Execute system releases of product for loading and distribution to DCs, direct to customers and to other designated locations.

· Ensure storage of all production pallets and address any bottlenecks in coordination with Production.

· Maintain good housekeeping.

· Assist in team member training per the provided training materials.

· Assist supervisor & manager in the addition / revision of work instructions.

· Oversee equipment care and maintenance, forklifts etc.

· Report any issues.

· Assist supervisor in work assignments to optimize labor utilization.

· Check inventories and communicate any issues to supervisor.

· Provide break relief to team members, as necessary.

· Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

· Good computer skills with the ability to create, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets.

· Ability to perform calculations and understand data trends.

· Data entry accuracy for inventory control.

· Strong ability to organize and maintain documentation.

· Forklift experience

· RF Handheld experience

· Yard truck experience

· Ability to work without direct supervision.

· Supervisor back-up coverage.

· SAP experience a plus.

· Able to stand and/or walk for duration of the shift, and lift, bend, push, pull, as necessary.

· Must have effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and management.

· Able to work without direct supervision.
