**Description** POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT POSITION: 2nd Shift Waste Water Technician DEPARTMENT:Waste Water LOCATION:Ottumwa SALARY CLASS:Non Exempt HOURS: 2:00 PM – Midnight (Tuesday- Friday) Responsibilities: + Working in wastewater area for daily operational adjustments, equipment operations andrecording data. Must be able to obtain an Iowa Grade 1 wastewater operator license within 18 months. + Monitoring operating equipment & report any equipment problems. + Recording equipment data. + Help with lab testing + Data entry of environmental data + Operate sludge press + General Housekeeping of Waste Water Plant area as is needed. + Must be able to operate forklift as needed. + Cover co-worker vacations as needed + Work some holidays as needed (rotating with co-workers) Qualification: + Good communication skills. + Previous experience helpful, but not required. + Mechanicalskills + General Math Skills + Working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word for data entry + Self-Motivator + Able to workunsupervisedas required + Able to work outside year round as needed + Able to climb stairs + Good attendance record(Less than3.0points, for internal candidates) JBS offers a full range of benefits including health care, life insurance, and a 401 (K) plan.
