The 2nd Shift Team Lead, Custodial oversees the custodial services and custodial servicing teams and/or vendors, ensuring a clean and safe environment. This role includes supervising daily shift operations and providing leadership during assigned shift, as well as overseeing housekeeping services to maintain orderly facilities.
Responsibilities· Inspect inventory of cleaning supplies, order when necessary
· Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, take corrective action
· Communicate to staff updates/changes to processes and/or policies
· Ensure cleaning equipment is operating properly and provide basic troubleshooting when necessary
· Review all work orders for the organization and determines an appropriate course of action to address each work order submitted
· Assist with performance management and annual reviews
· Authorization of weekly time sheets, concur, PTO request, department specific documents
· Meet with Facilities Manager as needed to review custodial priorities
· Maintain and update adequate documentation for operation of department; e.g. Performance reviews, Merit reviews, Accident reports, Training records, etc.
· Oversee, direct and assist in the general cleaning of all facilities
· Implement policies, programs and directives of senior management
· Make recommendations for staff and equipment and have significant input into personnel matters
· Work independently and with minimal supervision
QualificationsEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Associates degree or 1-3 years of experience in custodial services and/or 1-3 years experience in Supervisor role
Qualification Requirements:
· MS Office proficient
· Industrial Cleaning equipment maintenance, basic troubleshooting and operating skills/knowledge
Physical Requirements:
• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and communicate
· 85% walking or standing
· 15% sitting
· Must be able to have close visual acuity to work with computers, equipment
· Frequent lifting with moderate exertion for majority of shift
