SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.
Specific responsibilities include:
Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer ordersEnsuring every position is filled before start-up of production lineOverseeing Team Member morning exercises and job rotation in order to facilitate ergonomicsEnsuring all machinery is performing to the highest standard Ensuring all workstations have passed USDA InspectionPromoting safety on a daily basis as well as through monthly safety meetingsEnsuring accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of productsSupervisory responsibilities:
Knowing and communicating company benefits and compensation policies to Team MembersProviding encouragement to Team Members in order to build the best team possibleCritical ability to perform the human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems. Overseeing various processing operationsWorking with other supervisors in solving problemsKeeping records of reworked or returned productProviding continuous education on the importance of qualityPerforming other responsibilities as the need arises.REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum one year of management/supervision experience OR minimum six months working as a Tyson Foods Line Lead or similar role. Knowledge of food industry, processes and equipment and technologies. Understanding of financial indicators / analysis and experienced in budget development / management.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Special Skills: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.Travel: Some travel is required. This could be to other facilities or to corporate.Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Must reside within the United States.
Supervisory:
This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.Typical Shift Hours:
3:30pm-1:30am (flexibility is required)Some weekend work requiredRelocation Assistance Eligible:
