Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for multiple tasks relating to trouble shooting, repair, fabrication, and preventive maintenance of all feed mill equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.Complete appropriate paperwork and reportsMust comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervisionAbility to assist with other mechanics as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Safety: Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Ability to adhere to Tyson Foods' safety policies and procedures.Qualifications:
Experience: Must have one year of industrial maintenance experience and at least 6 months of continuous work history with the same employer within the last 24 months, or was attending technical school or training within the last 24 months to be considered for this position. High school diploma or GED required.Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.”Work Environment:
Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and working at heights in excess of 200 ft. As well as lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 100 lbs.Additional Information:
