Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Cable Assembly Lab Manager (2ND shift) to join our team at our Electronics Manufacturing Facility. Candidate will be responsible for leadership of the 2nd shift technician team that manufactures electrical cable assemblies. The type of cables to be built changes from week to week, and are cables which require various connectors and processes. (Micro-D connectors, circular connectors, soldering, potting, cable braiding, mechanical assembly, etc). This position will lead the team of IPC-620 certified technicians that work on a variety of products to include military, space, and commercial customers.

Primary Responsibilities
Applicants must have strong experience working with teams.
Ability to multi-task and meet multiple objectives over similar time periods.
Candidates will be required to have knowledge of the tools used for assembly (crimpers, strippers, insertion) and the proper techniques required to use these tools. Basic experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing documentation will be required.
Candidate will be required to have basic computer skills associated with these assembly tasks (such as retrieving the manufacturing documentation from the system, updating the system as router steps are completed, communication via email, Excel spreadsheets, etc.).
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of assembly and inspection requirements for cable assemblies.
Working knowledge of Cable High Voltage testing and designing test layouts.
Communicate with customers (internal or external) to provide updates on both schedule and cost.
Solumina/MES/Build Tracking experience.
Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Current or prior certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 with Space addendum.
Ability to test cable assemblies for continuity, isolation, insulation resistance, and insertion loss.
Experience leading a team.
