Job Details:

This position is responsible for evaluating the quality of the product being produced, reporting deficiencies to the Lead or Supervisor so they can take appropriate action. 

Team members must be able to keep up with line speed and be able to make decisions in a quick manner.  Must be a motivated individual with a desire to learn and implement new ideas. Must also be able to work in an environment that changes frequently.  Perform rework as needed.  Inform the Lead or Supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns or production problems.  Team members will perform sorting activities that require inspection of each carcass.  When condemnable conditions are observed, the carcasses will be condemned. Carcasses exhibiting conditions that must be trimmed or washed will be identified and hung back to be reprocessed.  Carcasses that require salvage cut-up will also be identified. Requires the use of hands, arms, and legs to monitor the production process in the department for proper operation, produce quality and quantity, and perform line duties as required.   

Environmental: 

Work inside the facility, wet floors, warm work environment, cramped working quarters at times, utilize sanitizing agents in water, and hand-wash stations. 

Adequate lighting and ventilation. 

Education:  N/A

Experience Evis Team Members are considered first. 

Communication Skills:  Must be able to communicate well with others and the supervisor. 

Requirements:

  Prior Employee Waiting Period:

Must have 90 days from the last term date.

Number of Times Worked at Tyson:

If terminated 3x or more, not eligible for rehire.
