Description We are looking for a Patient Access Specialist to join our team in Novi, Michigan. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with registration and intake processes during 2nd shift. Following a comprehensive five-week training program during daytime hours, you will transition to working afternoons with a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Responsibilities: • Facilitate patient registration for emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services with accuracy and efficiency. • Provide guidance and support to patients in utilizing technology related to their registration and care. • Rotate between multiple campus locations to meet departmental needs. • Maintain clear and effective communication with patients and staff to ensure a seamless intake process. • Perform accurate data entry to record patient information and maintain departmental records. • Adapt to fluctuating schedules and take initiative to address department needs. • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, flu shots, and occupational health screenings. • Support additional departmental tasks as required to contribute to overall operations. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; healthcare industry experience is preferred. • Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to interact effectively with patients and staff. • Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic. • Proficiency in accurate data entry and attention to detail. • Willingness to work midnight shifts, including a rotating schedule with weekends and holidays. • Capacity to work across multiple locations as needed. • Compliance with health screenings and vaccination requirements. • Strong initiative and adaptability in dynamic environments.
