2nd Assistant (Supervisor de Turno)

Airswift is seeking a 2nd Assistant (Shift Supervisor) to work on a permanent contract in Rio de Janeiro with a major Oil & Gas Company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting and reporting to the 1st Assistant (or the Offshore Construction Manager where a 1st Assistant is not assigned to the vessel) about the interdisciplinary coordination of specific activities on board;
Supervising a group of construction crew, directing foremen and/or supervisors, with regard to the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work, to comply with the quality and safety standard;
Ensuring that the 1st Assistant and the Offshore Construction Manager are kept fully informed of possible problems and construction status;
Ensuring compliance with the standards dictated by the company's QHSE safety policies and procedures,
Reporting incidents and near misses;
Providing a construction report at the end of each shift;
Assisting the vessel's field engineer in monitoring design equipment and consumables, operating and monitoring the stinger and JLT;
Ensuring that the mooring equipment used is valid and properly marked.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in civil, mechanical, electrical or naval engineering, we may consider other technical degrees depending on experience.
Fluent English (Required)
Previous experience in the oil and gas sector or in a similar role.
