2026 Winter Student - Data Analyst (4 months)

Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Winter 2026 placement with a start date of January 2026 and end-date of April 2026.

In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of April 2026; orIf you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in December 2025/April 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

The Data Analyst Co-op will work closely with the Corporate Client Group (CCG) National Operation’s Data Analytics team to support the business with the management of data, reporting and process improvement initiatives. The incumbent should possess data and management information related knowledge and should have a strong hold on MS Excel and VBA and should be familiar with MS Access. Strong problem solving, time management and attention to details will help ensure success in this role. RBC CCG National Operations supports CCG’s planning, directing, and overseeing their operational policies, rules, initiatives, and goals. The CCG team is responsible for meeting annually established targets for revenues and returns, providing advice to our partners along with broader RBC relationship goals, while the National Operations team helps & supports the group execute long-term and short-term plans

What will you do?

Support the implementation of robust database and reporting systems for the CCG team and senior management

Fulfill ad-hoc and periodic data requests based on business requirements

Analyze data for useful insights and build meaningful dashboards & data visualizations

Automate reporting processes to help the team save resources

Perform data mining, cleanup and investigate discrepancies to enhance data quality

Support database administration activities and troubleshoot user inquiries

Document and diagram key system and data management processes

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

3rd or 4th year student with a minimum of one Co-Op placement of relatable experience

Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science or Engineering

Intermediate level of MS Office with a strong focus on Excel & VBA and familiarity with Access

Related knowledge and experience in database and data management principals

Ability to perform well under pressure, meet time sensitive deadlines, and prioritize work

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Team player and also able to work independently

Strong oral and written communication skills

Proven capabilities in effective management of tasks and delivering high quality work
